I am a trained journalist and hope to bring my skills to the fashion industry as I am passionate about exploring the latest trends and styles. I love to travel and to spend time outdoors.
I am the proud mother of two children and have been married for 36 years to my husband Bob. I am probably a familiar face to many of our customers as I will soon be celebrating my 13th year with Get Dressed. I was so fortunate to find this job opportunity when I decided to return to the workforce after raising my children. It was a perfect fit for someone with a human resources background who loved interacting with people over another love - clothes!
I believe fashion is about having fun and feeling good about yourself. The past 8 years working at Get Dressed has been a true pleasure, helping our clientele look and feel their best. When not in the store, I can be found enjoying all the beauty the North Shore has to offer.
This will be my second year as part of the Get Dressed team! After graduating from Concordia University in Montreal with a degree in Jazz Studies, I returned home to the West Coast. Like music, I see fashion as a form of creative expression. I love to select unique outfits for customers that have them leaving the store both confident and empowered! In my spare time you can find me performing around town with my band, Porteau, as we work to record our debut album.
I've been with the Get Dressed team for almost 7 years (wow!) Without a doubt the best part of my job is the people-my coworkers and our customers. There isn't a more amazing group of ladies anywhere and I am so fortunate to call them my friends too-they inspire me everyday. Sharing my love for fashion and what it can do for you and how it can make you feel are some of the things I love about my job.
I am happy to be welcomed in as the newest member of the Get Dressed team. A recent post secondary fine arts graduate I try to bring my artistic eye into the world of fashion. I am looking forward to starting my next leg of school at BCIT this summer for industrial welding.
During my career as a paralegal, I was struck by the smart, classy attire of the professionals I was working with--both male and female: the fine fabrics, stylish cuts, and flattering fits. When I was able, I bought some quality pieces myself--and there started a love affair with fashion that exists to this day! When I retired, a wonderful opportunity to work in fashion opened for me and my almost fifteen years with Get Dressed began. It's such a pleasure to be surrounded by beautiful, high end clothing, a staff that loves the business, and customers who are looking for quality, upscale fashion.
I am a recent graduate from the Faculty of Environment at Simon Fraser University. I enjoy hiking and the outdoors and am on a competitive cheer team with the Vancouver All Stars. I have always loved fashion and think it is a great tool to express yourself.
