Our Story

ERICA HUGHES, OWNER

While raising her two girls who are now 25 and 27, Erica felt the need to do something for herself but wanted to be close to home and have the flexibility to still be a “mom”. With that in mind, she opened Get Dressed in 2001 at Parkgate Village, which was 5 minutes from her house.

Fast forward 24 years and Erica still loves what she does, she is always excited to see what the next year’s fashion has in store. Erica has been blessed with an amazing team, which allows her to spend less time at the store than in the early days and more time with her family (her proudest and biggest accomplishment).

THE SHOP AND OUR HISTORY

Our philosophy emphasizes honesty and courtesy, in a relaxed atmosphere. Get Dressed sales staff are on your side, think of us as your shopping concierges, here to offer whatever you may need. We’ll give you a full wardrobe overhaul or some space if you’re more of an independent shopper. Our goal is that when you leave, you feel great, you look great, and it was all on your terms.

The driving force behind our success is Erica Hughes, the owner and founder of Get Dressed. She oversees day to day operations and the buying of our 40+ brands. Erica opened the store in 2001, as a specialty boutique clothing store delivering a West Coast “casual but current” style. Since then, our reputation has spread well beyond the North Shore as a destination shop providing fabulous clothes and exceptional service.
